Sani Danja Plays Lead Role in Nollywood Movie

Kannywood star Sani Danja is rounding up production of a new movie titled Daughter of the river in Enugu, North East Nigeria, Weekly Trust heard from sources close to the famous entertainer.

Danja is appearing as the lead actor of the movie which is expected to be completed this weekend. He has been on shooting location along with other production crew for the past three months.

“He is working hard to make the flick a talk of the town, when it finally debuts the shelves in a couple of months to come,” sources say.

The movie showed Danja playing the role of a Prince (Ojiofor Acolyte), whose identity was shielded away from the public because he was born outside the royal home. He was, however, discovered when his father became bedridden and the search for the next King began.

He was later brought into the limelight by the incapacitated King as the heir-apparent to the throne. His appearance in the kingdom, no doubt, caused a lot of controversies in the community, and dashed the hopes of some potential kings.

“We’ve been working day and night to make this movie an award winning film. The movie has a lot of story to tell and tons of lessons to gain from. All I can say right now is for our fans to keep their fingers crossed as I’ve never disappointed them when it comes to quality movies,” he quipped.

The film, being packaged and produced by Chidi Chijioke, is directed by award winning Ernest Obi. Other casts in the movie are Pete Edochie, Yul Edochie, Ebere Okaro, Eve Esin, Patience Ozokwor and many other notable A-list actors and its own and marketed by Onye’eze (The King) Nigeria Limited.
